We are Val & Mani–married digital nomad attorneys and global plant-based cooking enthusiasts. We live in Houston, Texas with our crazy rescue pug Mango. Val is of Filipino descent, and Mani is of Iranian descent. As BIPOC creators who have traveled to 34 countries and 5 continents, we aim to showcase plant-based versions of foods weโve sampled during our travels, as well as dishes we grew up eating.
Through Plant-Based Passport, we want to INSPIRE you through PLANTS!
We want to dispel the notion that you have to give up your cultural heritage in going plant-based, while spotlighting underrepresented cuisines. We want to prove that plant-based cooking can be diverse and exciting. And we hope to inspire others to cook & eat outside their comfort zones and learn about other food cultures.
As digital nomads, we travel throughout the year. We want to be your guides to the best plant-based friendly accommodations and eats around the globe.
We are also food writers! Our writing and photography has appeared in Bon Appรฉtit, Best of Vegan, and One Green Planet.
